Slitter is a mechanical equipment used to cut continuous material into strips, and its main components include the following:1. Frame and drive system
Frame: usually consists of left and right wall plates, support blocks and unwinding machinery to provide a solid structural support for the whole slitting machine.
Transmission system: mainly used for pulling raw materials and winding finished products. The system contains a frequency conversion stepless speed control motor, through which power is transmitted, the shaped belt drives the traction rubber rollers, and the main traction rubber rollers and the slave traction rubber rollers are in close contact with each other in order to synchronize the movement of the raw materials.
2. Winding mechanism and its tensioning device
Winding mechanism: mainly consists of synchronous belt, synchronous wheel, magnetic powder clutch and air expansion shaft. The main power is transmitted from the synchronous belt to the synchronous wheel, which in turn drives the input shaft of the magnetic powder clutch to realize the winding function.
Tensioning device: It is used to adjust and control the tension during the winding process to ensure that the material is wound flat and tight.
3. Traction assembly
The haul-off assembly mainly consists of a pair of haul-off rubber rollers and several hard aluminum oxide rollers, which are used to haul off the finished wound raw materials. It is powered by an electric motor transmitted to the drive via a v-belt, which pulls the rubber rollers.
4. Slitting System
Slitting Knife Stand: It is one of the core components of the slitting machine and is used to cut the material into strips of required width. There are two ways of slitting knife holder: round knife slitting and flat knife slitting. The position of round knife can be adjusted by using the handle to change the cutting width.
Cutting tool: usually made of carbide or high-speed steel, with good wear resistance and cutting performance. The cutting device is used to fix the cutting tool and control the cutting speed and thickness.
5. Waste disposal system
It is used to deal with the waste materials generated during the cutting process. For example, the wind energy of the blower is utilized to discharge the waste material through the air duct to keep the working environment tidy.
6. Control system
The control system is the "brain" of the whole slitting machine, which is used to control the operation of the slitting machine and adjust the cutting parameters (e.g. cutting speed, tension, etc.) to ensure the cutting quality and efficiency. Modern slitting machines usually adopt advanced PLC control system or CNC control system to realize automation and accurate control.

For specific types of slitting machines, such as metal slitting machines, additional components such as loading trolleys, unwinders, levelers, waste edge winders, etc. may also be included to meet the processing needs of special materials such as metal coils.
